Christmas Lights Easel Creative Fold Card
Today I’m sharing the Stampin’ Up! Christmas Lights Stamp Bundle with you in this Creative Fold Easel Card. Creative Fold cards are fun to do and can you a larger canvas to work with. For this card I included other stamp sets for the greeting, inside saying and yet a fourth one for the deer on the front.
This was the first time I used embossing powder on foil. My suggestion is that you need to make sure you use your embossing buddy over the whole area you’re embossing and be careful that you don’t let your foil get too hot or the heat gun too close. You don’t want to melt your foil.

Let’s Get Started
- The Card Base is the Cherry Cobbler Cardstock. Fold in half on the score line and burnish with Bone Folder.
- Fold the Basic Black Cardstock on the 2-5/8″ score line (make a mountain) and in the opposite direction for the 5-¼” score line (make a valley), burnish each fold with Bone Folder. Adhere the 5-¼” Black Cardstock to the front of the Cherry Cobbler Card Base.
- Adhere the 2 pieces of Lights Aglow Designer Series Paper to the large Black and the front Black Cardstock panels.
- Stamp the Christmas tree in Versamark to a piece of Brushed Metallic Cardstock. Heat Emboss in Gold Embossing Powder. Cut out with the Corresponding Twinkling Lights Die. Attach the lower half of tree to the Card Front lower panel with Seal or Tear-N-Tape.
- Using Evening Evergreen Cardstock, heat emboss in Gold the greeting. This greeting is from the retired Evergreen Elegance Stamp Set. Add to Card Front at the bottom of the Christmas tree using Dimensionals.
- For the Deer, I used the Peaceful Deer Stamp Set, stamped in Black Memento Ink onto Very Vanilla Cardstock. Color with Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends then cut out with Paper Snips. Add to Card Front with Dimensionals.
- Very Vanilla Cardstock was used for the card inside. The inside saying is from the Brightness Glow Stamp Set and stamped in Evening Evergreen. A strip of the Lights Aglow Designer Series Paper is on the bottom of the Very Vanilla Cardstock.
- The Envelope flap is finished off with a piece of the same Designer Series Paper and applied with Liquid Glue. Trim off the excess paper with the Paper Snips.
And now you have a beautiful Christmas Card to brighten someone’s Holiday Season.

- Cherry Cobbler: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2” This is your card base
- Basic Black: 4” x 10-½”, scored at 2-5/8” & 5-¼”
- Evening Evergreen: 4-¼” x 1-½” for front greeting
- Very Vanilla: 4” x 5-1/4” card inside, scrap for deer
- Brushed Metallics Gold: 3″ x 4-1/2″ for tree
- Lights Aglow DSP: 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”, 3-7/8” x 2-½”, 4” x 5/8” (card inside), measure your envelope flap for what size you need.
